Laura and Clint’s wedding at the Sunset Coffee Building was a colorful, joyous celebration set against the natural beauty of the bayou and downtown Houston. With wildflower-inspired florals, glowing candlelight, and a clear top tent under the night sky, this wedding embodied romance and adventure. Known for their infectious energy, Laura and Clint brought together family and friends for a night of love and laughter, creating unforgettable memories in the Houston’s historic downtown.
A Bayou-Side Ceremony Full of Color and Charm
The ceremony took place outdoors in the side yard of the Sunset Coffee Building, right along the bayou. Framed by a gorgeous view of the water, the couple exchanged vows in a setting that felt both organic and lively. To match the wild, free-spirited nature of the space, we created floral arrangements inspired by the look and feel of a wildflower meadow. Bright pops of color, lush greenery, and a variety of textures added to the whimsical, natural vibe. These arrangements lined the aisle and framed the couple as they said their heartfelt vows, creating a vibrant scene that matched Laura and Clint’s exuberant personalities.
Downtown Houston Portraits
Laura and Clint got ready at Hotel Icon just down the street, a stunning backdrop for pre-wedding photographs. The couple and their photographer, Rkm Photography, took to the downtown streets, capturing some of the most fun and lively newlywed portraits we’ve seen. The bride’s floral-print dress, paired with a vibrant bouquet, brought a burst of color to the urban landscape, while the groom’s Houston Rodeo socks added a playful, personal touch. Together, they wandered through the heart of Houston, laughing and embracing, with each photo reflecting their unique personalities and love for the city.
Reception Under a Clear Top Tent
Following the ceremony, guests moved to a stunning reception area under a clear top tent. The transparent tent created a magical setting, allowing guests to dance and dine under the open night sky while still enjoying the comforts of an elegant indoor space. As the sun set and twilight filled the tent, candlelight illuminated the tables, casting a warm glow across the room and highlighting the vibrant floral arrangements.
Long rectangle table flanked the dance floor and featured eclectic bud vases and taper candles in antique brass candlesticks and glass hurricanes. The floral design continued the wildflower-inspired theme with bright, joyful blooms with large, lush arrangements repurposed from the ceremony aisle that filled the round tables with color and life.
Dancing and Celebrating Well Into the Night
True to their lively, welcoming personalities, Laura and Clint made sure their wedding was an unforgettable party. With music filling the tent, they and their guests danced and celebrated well into the night. The glow of candles, the open sky, and the joyful colors made for a truly memorable setting, capturing the warmth and energy of the couple’s love and joy.
